Dad is continuing the rehab process. Once again, it is broken into three parts. Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy. Dad has been busy with his therapy sessions, getting on with the business of getting better! Monday was a good day of therapy. He had two sessions of each therapy. I was able to sit in on one of them, speech. They are doing some evaluation work on him, so they had him answer different questions and problem solve. It can be funny to see him sarcastically or humorously answer a question or two.

As previously mentioned on this blog, Dad has been moved to a rehab center. Rehab centers do not waste time, nor their efforts. They set to work immediately on helping Dad recover and rehabilitate. He was moved on Thursday and then had three hours of rehab on Friday. Each weekday he has six half hour sessions scheduled. Saturdays are three half hour sessions and Sunday is a day of rest...amen.

Today was my dad's first full day being intubated. It is very scary to see him in such a state.There is not much news to report. They have brought his brain function (the amount of electric signals being sent) down to the low levels they want. The bad news for the day was that at about noon he began to develop a fever and had fluid in his lungs. The risk of infection is high and dangerous.

I believe in the separation of Church and state…after all God ordained it. He created three governments. The Family Government, the Church Government and the Civil Government.
